Welcome back to the Sonar Tracker Newsletter! We hope you're having a fantastic Spring Term. As always, we like to keep our customers updated with what’s happening, so in this edition, we’ve got some exciting updates, important deadlines, and opportunities you won't want to miss.
Sonar updates
Work is continuing apace on Sonar and we have some fantastic new features on the way in the Summer Term, which we know you will love:
Observations will allow teachers to demonstrate a child’s learning by attaching notes and photos in Sonar.
The Parent Reporting feature will enable you to use the information in Sonar to streamline the report-writing process.
The ‘Multi-school’ dashboard will allow multi-academy trusts to look at live assessment data by school, cohort or context group.
A CTF export will transfer your statutory assessment data to your school management system or send back to local authority.
We’ll be in touch after Easter with more news about these features.
Curriculum coverage and gap analysis
As we approach the end of Spring Term, it is likely that you’ll be considering which children are on track to achieve end of year or end of Key Stage Standards. If your teachers are using the formative assessment in Sonar, there are valuable tools to give see where the gaps in knowledge are for each class or cohort, and to show teachers which elements of the curriculum are still to be covered.
The Spring End Juniper Benchmark Report is due out shortly after the Easter holidays. In order for data to be included in the reports, it must be added into Sonar by Friday 5th April at 5pm. Any data added after that date will not be included and reports cannot be re-run, so please share this date with staff.
The Spring 2 Benchmark Report is the first of the next batch of three termly reports. The cost for the next three reports has been reduced to just £65 (ex VAT) and we will be sending an invoice in March. If you opted out of receiving these reports last year, you won’t be included, but if you have changed your mind, please let us know by Thursday 28th March by emailing us at csschool@junipereducation.org.
If you haven’t seen these fantastic reports before, they compare your own school’s assessment data (including year groups and context groups) to local and national averages. You can see an example report here.
